Lunch Bunch will be a little “field trip” in July.  We will lunch in Meggett, SC (near Edisto Island) at an inviting little restaurant called Roxbury Mercantile.  The P&C’s food editor, Hanna Raskin, has written very favorably about this restaurant several times.  Check it out at http://roxburymercantile.com. After lunch we’ll venture about 6 miles down the road to King’s Market, a fabulous farm market that sells all the fresh fruits and vegetables you could ever want, grown right there behind the market itself.   Additionally the market sells some of the best prepared breads, casseroles, sweet and savory pies, chicken salad, soups, etc. for take home.   Look at their offerings at http://www.kingsfarmmarket.com/home.aspx. BRING an insulated bag(s) for the prepared foods. Most of them are either frozen or refrigerated.

The restaurant is about 36 miles from here; the Market about 6 miles from the restaurant. We should carpool and leave I‘On about 10:30 AM for 11:30 reservations.  Plan on being back in I’On around 3:30.
