The I’On Trust

We believe that by engaging people, offering fun and educational experiences, we build and sustain community spirit. Neighborhoods like I’On just don’t happen. Creating a vital, sustaining community takes effort, planning and a group of committed neighbors willing to contribute their time, talents, experiences, and resources.

Together we are The I’On Trust, and together we make possible many of the events and happenings that make I’On such a special place to live. From cultural, educational, and holiday events to volunteer opportunities, we are always busy bringing neighbors together.

The Trust Is the Keeper of the Spirit of I’On

We are dedicated to providing quality experiences where neighbors have a chance to learn, have fun and help their community.

The Trust promotes Volunteerism

Our neighbors are who make all these things possible. We encourage volunteerism in the neighborhood. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our community and we would be delighted to talk with you about volunteering.

The Trust fosters Grassroots Activities through its Grants Program

Our funding has encouraged neighbors’ interests and passions to flourish and expand. Included among our grant recipients are the I’Onissimo Singers, the Community of I’On Artists, The I’On ConservatI’on Corps, and the Community Garden.

The Trust collaborates with Community Groups to bring a Variety of Offerings

Among our partners have been the Charleston Symphony, The Charleston Ballet, Creative Spark Center for the Arts, Fort Moultrie, The College of Charleston, The Halsey Art Institute, The Gibbes Museum, The Charleston Jazz Society, The Village Theatre, Adopt-A-Highway and Chamber Music Charleston.

The I’On Trust adds Value to those living in I’On

The creators of I’On founded the Trust to serve as the ‘vision keeper’ for the advancement of neighborhood principles and traditions, ie to create community! Our neighbors enrich the quality of life for anyone who lives in I’On.
